What 5,953 Store Offers Reveal About Online Coupons in 2026
We analyzed every offer across the 5,578 stores we track. Here is what online coupons really look like in 2026 — and how to save smarter.
Everyone says "just use a coupon code at checkout." So we looked at our own data to see how often that advice actually holds up. Across the 5,578 online stores and 5,953 active offers we track at Koupora, here is what the coupon landscape really looks like in 2026.
Most savings come from links, not typed codes
Of the 5,953 live offers we track, 1,090 are classic coupon codes you type at checkout. The other 4,863 are deals — links and offers where the discount or reward applies through the link itself, with no code to type.
If you have ever hunted for a promo box that did not exist, that is why: for many stores, the offer is a deal link, not a code. The good news for shoppers is that you often do not need to hunt for a code at all — just follow the deal and the offer is already applied.
Fashion and beauty dominate the discount world
The offers we track span 42 categories, but they are far from evenly spread:
- Fashion — 1,390 stores
- Beauty — 892 stores
- Home — 707 stores
- Tech — 406 stores
Fashion alone accounts for roughly a quarter of every store we list. If you shop those categories, you will almost always find something.
Store reputations skew average — check before you buy
We matched 3,529 stores to their public Trustpilot ratings. The average score was 3.33 out of 5, and only 1,252 stores (about 35%) scored 4 stars or higher. A working offer does not guarantee a great store, so a 10-second reputation check before checkout is worth it.
Real markdowns are rarer than they look
At the moment we counted, only 443 products across our tracked stores were genuinely marked down below their own listed original price. Plenty of stores say "sale," but a verifiable price cut is the exception. When you find one, it is worth acting on.
How we counted
These numbers come from Koupora's own catalog on the date of writing. We do not invent discount percentages or ratings — if a value is not verifiable, we leave it blank. That is why our counts are conservative.
